ContentDown help
Why a link is rejected
Most failures come down to link shape, public availability or a source-platform change.
What to check
01Open the individual post, not a profile or feed page.
02Copy the full URL again using the platform's share control.
03Confirm the link opens publicly in a private browser window.
04Check that the URL belongs to one of the currently available platforms: Instagram, TikTok or X.
Check the post, not just the URL
A supported domain is not enough: the URL must point to an individual public post in a format the selected downloader recognizes. Profile pages, search pages and shortened links that cannot be resolved may fail even when they open in your own browser.
Try opening the link in a private browsing window. If it requires signing in, has been deleted or is region-restricted, the public-media downloader may not be able to retrieve it.
Practical checks
- Instagram: copy the post or Reel URL, not the profile address.
- TikTok: use the video or photo-post sharing link.
- X: use the post/status link, not the account profile.
If the problem persists, contact support@contentdown.app and include the platform and a description of the error. Do not send account passwords or private credentials.
