ContentDown help
Understanding download quality
The available file depends on the media representations exposed for the public post.
What to check
01Resolution is only one part of visual quality.
02ContentDown does not invent higher-resolution choices by upscaling.
03X can show selectable qualities when compatible renditions are available.
Resolution, bitrate and source quality
Resolution counts pixels; bitrate measures data per second; compression and the source file also affect what you see. Two videos labeled 1080p can have noticeably different detail.
ContentDown only offers compatible renditions that its integration can actually retrieve. If no quality selector appears, do not assume a hidden higher-resolution file is available.
Practical checks
- For permitted editing or archiving, prefer the best available source.
- For a quick reference, a smaller file may be adequate.
- Use the file-size calculator to understand bitrate trade-offs.
If the problem persists, contact support@contentdown.app and include the platform and a description of the error. Do not send account passwords or private credentials.
