ContentDown help
Private and restricted content
ContentDown is intentionally a public-media utility.
What to check
01Private accounts and access-controlled posts are not bypassed.
02Deleted, age-restricted or regionally unavailable posts may not be retrievable.
03Never paste a platform password or session cookie into ContentDown.
Why access controls matter
ContentDown is built for supported public-media workflows. It does not request passwords, cookies or private account sessions to access content. A URL can look valid while its underlying media remains inaccessible to unauthenticated visitors.
If you own the content, consider the original platform’s own export or account-download functionality. For someone else’s work, request permission and use an authorized sharing method.
Practical checks
- Do not submit credentials or session tokens.
- Publicly viewable does not mean free to republish.
- A failed request is not evidence that access restrictions should be bypassed.
If the problem persists, contact support@contentdown.app and include the platform and a description of the error. Do not send account passwords or private credentials.
